You Can’t Gamble On An Old Home

Atlantic City, many of our residents own homes that are well over a hundred years old. We have even more challenges than age we also have survived one of the worst hurricanes ever! One of our area residents the Bucco family, recently purchased a home on the outskirts of Atlantic City. The Bucco’s fully realized that purchasing an older home was going to have unexpected issues, but they were won over by its charm and tons of closet space and several rooms for the kids. What, the Bucco’s did not expect was to deal with the storm water and overall lack luster state of sewers of the city. The Bucco’s first called a random plumbing company out of the phone book to come out They found the house on file with the previous owner’s name. In 2004 and snaked the drain and instructed the prior owner of 3 breaks in the sewer pipe that needed to be fixed. The three breaks in the sewer pipe-lining were never fixed by the previous owners. Fearing that they would have to dig up their yard, they did further investigation to see if there were alternatives. Desperately they searched the internet, talked to friends and family. Then she found a Certified Installer of Perma-Liner a trenchless technology. A Certified Perma-Liner Installer was hired by the Bucco’s and here is what he found “We found moisture in the basement. Then we found the basement flooding. The sump pump was installed incorrectly by the previous owner where it was draining into the main sewer drain. The city says that’s it’s not up to code. There were many cracks and breaks in the sewer pipes and they needed to be replaced. The Perma-Liner Certified Installer assured Molly that there would be no digging since they use “trenchless” technology as opposed to digging, which made Bucco’s happy! Their old home and its infrastructure would not be further damaged by much need repair, the time for the work to be done would be less than a day, and they saved thousands of dollars! Atlantic City, The Bucco’s are happy homeowner’s and their beautiful home has retained its old world charm. Atlantic City, do you have an old home that needs sewer-pipelining repairs done? If...
